‘Jo khiladi medal jeete hain…’: UP CM’s announcement for medal winners

Uttar Pradesh News: In a commendable initiative aimed at recognizing and rewarding the remarkable achievements of Olympics and Paralympics athletes, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has declared government job opportunities for sportspersons who have shone in both national and international arenas. 
According to reports from the Hindustan Times, a grand event will take place at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan. During this ceremony, Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Yogi Adityanath will honor 14 distinguished Olympians and Paralympians who recently showcased their talents at the Paris competitions.
The Chief Minister will engage with the athletes, who will share their uplifting journeys to inspire and motivate the next generation.
The event promises to be memorable, featuring a substantial prize pool of ₹22.70 crore, aimed at recognizing the exceptional contributions of these athletes to sports and the pride they bring to both Uttar Pradesh and the nation.
The list of awardees includes an impressive roster of athletes who have made their mark:
Praveen Kumar: Gold medalist in men’s high jump at the Paris Paralympics, receiving ₹6 crore.
Suhas LY: Silver medalist in badminton, awarded ₹4 crore.
Ajeet Singh: Silver medalist in javelin throw, also receiving ₹4 crore.
Preeti Pal: Two-time bronze medalist in athletics, awarded ₹4 crore.
Simran: Bronze medalist in athletics, receiving ₹1 crore.
Lalit Upadhyay and Raj Kumar Pal: Members of the Indian hockey team that clinched bronze at the Paris Olympics, each awarded ₹1 crore.
In addition, several other athletes representing Uttar Pradesh will also be honored. Parul Chaudhary, Annu Rani, Priyanka Goswami, Prachi Chaudhary, Sakshi Kasana, Dipesh Kumar, and Yash Kumar will each receive ₹10 lakh for their commendable contributions at the Paris Olympics and Paralympics.
